Sooooo.... here I am again, well decided on what I want to do for my film opening. However, I didn't advance with my partners. Two of us want different genres, the third doesn't care what we end up doing as she trusts us both (YAY), but they both like mine a lot, so tonight we'll decide what we are going to go with for sure. My idea was a film about a model breaking the stereotype that we "have no brains behind the matter."
Here's my idea (rough draft):
Brainless Babe; a coming of age, drama set in the 1990s.
All while heartfelt music is playing, the opening scene is the model (myself) getting hair and makeup done. Different angles are shot to capture the detail of my look. The scene then transitions to the model being photographed and she's posing in different outfits while the flash goes off (the transition is the white camera flash); this will be edited in jump cuts. Then the photographers on set would say "Alright that's a wrap" and the last flash would go off, transitioning to the model at school (the music would cut as the photographer says that and the school bell rings). At school, an over the shoulder shot gets the model, now known student, opening her book/binder to a cover of a newspaper (sort of used like a book cover as she walks around with it for motivation) with the headline in big bold letters, "Brainless Babe". The camera blackens the rest of the text on the newspaper and slowly zooms in the title, then tilts upward to a black screen, carrying the title, and that would end the 2 minutes of the opening.
Situations/things I have to think of how to solve next include music rights, whether I'll end up doing the project on my own (if allowed), how to get the retro filter I'm going for which you'll see below of supermodel Bella Hadid, and more that I haven't yet encountered.
I want this to feel like your favorite Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes, Kiera Knightly, Lindsey Lohan, and Reese Whitherspoon films; chic and real.
These pictures could be found on Bella Hadid's Instagram.
